Hello folks!
I want to add fresh work samples to my website and it got me thinking about case studies.
So far my portfolio consists exclusively of articles and blogs I've written over the years, although I've also written landing pages, social media copy, brands books, marketing materials, white papers...pretty much anything to do with words. I want to feature more of these other materials on my website, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
First question: How do I feature a client's landing page or social media on my site (rather than just link to the client's site/account)? I've seen various screen shot tools out there, but I'm wondering if there's another way.
Second question: If I were to write a case study about, say, a landing page or social media copy I created for a client, how do I measure my copy's impact if I don't have access to the analytics? Do I just ask the client for that data (assuming they know how to find it)? Make it more qualitative? I feel like numbers are so important these days, but maybe that's just not the case?
Any insights on case studies for copywriters/content marketers is welcome.

Hello again,
I have an immediate opportunity for a social media marketing pro & content creator/manager. I need help devising a social media strategy to drive wine sales for my client, who is a winemaker, consultant, and innovator in the field. His team will likely implement and manage the social media themselves, but we will probably need support with content creation and campaign management.
We're looking for someone with expert knowledge of Instagram and Tik Tok. Some knowledge of or experience in the wine industry is also a plus. There is no set timeline and I'm not clear on hours/month yet but my estimate is that we will probably need social media support for at least 3 months, starting at around 5-10 hours/month.
If you fit the bill (or you know someone who does) please reach out! We're looking to start mapping out our overall content strategy starting next week.
Thanks a bunch!
Hillary
ps ~ Many of my clients need social media support so if we really jive well, I would love to work together on an ongoing basis!

I'm working with a client (let's call him Mark) that has become more of a friend. Mark has already referred his friends and clients to me, but now we are working on a book together and he's asked if I'd be willing to exchange hours of my time for his referrals.
At first I was more than happy to because I appreciate the referrals he's already given me and we've developed a good working relationship. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out how that would even work...
I was thinking that if one of his referrals decides to work with me (and I have the bandwidth to take them on) then I would give Mark 1 hour of my time for every 5 hours of work that I got paid for by his referral. BUT that already sounds like a headache. I suppose I could give him a flat number of hours for each new (successful referral) but that doesn't seem like it would work long term.
Any ideas on how to make this work? Or is it just a bad idea? I don't want to ruin a great client relationship with bickering over the value of my time vs. his connections.
Sorry if that was confusing! I can clarify if anyone has questions.

Hey folks,
I am thrilled to share that my business has grown to the point where I don't think I can handle it all myself! I'm at max capacity and have some warm leads that are only getting warmer.
A friend recommended that I raise my rates so I get an 80% no from clients, and the 20% who say yes generate enough revenue for me to meet my goals. Of course, that's a great long term strategy and I do plan to gradually increase my rates. But in the meantime I'm thinking about hiring/subcontracting someone to help with research, admin, possibly even drafting some of the copy that I'm not particularly enthused about (ahem, social media).
The trouble is that when I try to sit down and write a job description for this person – to figure out exactly which tasks I could hand over, and which I couldn't – I hit a wall. It feels like all these tasks are so interconnected that if I pull one thread, the whole hand knit sweater unravels.
Does anyone here have advice on how I can let go of some of that control? Or better still, advice on how to delegate and work with an assistant, without giving yourself more work?
Thanks people!

Hi folks!
I'm a content strategist and copywriter. My clients are always asking me if I know graphic designers that I could refer them to, so I thought I'd reach out and ask if anyone wants to chat and explore the opportunity of becoming referral partners!
I currently have one client who's looking for someone to design a few flyers. Message me if you're interested!
Cheers,
Hillary

Hello lovely people, and happy holidays!
My client is in the process of launching her website, however she has a TON of prebuilt InfusionSoft campaigns and landing pages that need finishing before we can go live.
Since I've already learned Ontraport I thought I'd take a stab at it. Though it's not too bad (yet) I feel like it might be more time and cost efficient to outsource this setup.
Message me directly if you're interested!
Thanks,
Hillary

Hello lovely people, and happy Dia de los Muertos!
I wanted to share this app I've been using for some time now. It's called Lunafi, and as the title implies, it's a financial management tool designed for freelancers.
First off, let me say I'm not being incentivized to recruit new members or anything. I've just found this app really helpful and wanted to share it with this community.
I was asked to be a beta tester and have been using the app for the past 5 months as they've continuously tested and tweaked it to improve their services. It has some nifty features like a real-time view of your 1099 tax estimates, a breakdown of your income/profits by client, and suggestions for possible write-offs.
If you're interested, you can now find it in the app store!

Hello again lovely people.
I hope you're all hanging in there in these crazy times.
Anywho, I'm writing because a client of mine needs new photos of her products in action, but doesn't have much of a budget. I know this isn't a "job" exactly, but I thought I'd throw a call out into the universe for photographers who might be willing to expand their portfolio and get some yummy (immune-boosting) products in the process.
You can see her website here.
